The idea is to use that blog to write content that is useful not only to the search engines, but also customers.

Write a few articles about plumbing. Write a few articles about problems you overcame on tough jobs. Heck, write a plan for a kitchen or bathroom remodel job. After all, the chances are that the person reading your plan will eventually need a plumber.

Say you’re an Omaha mortgage broker. Mortgages are boring, who would want to read about mortgages in Omaha?

Well, anyone who’s thinking about getting a mortgage in Omaha would probably like to hear what you have to say, especially in the privacy of their own home, in front of their computer while they’re researching mortgage brokers!

Write a few regular articles every month on how the Omaha mortgage market is going. Write about things that people in Omaha should look for when considering a mortgage. Write about past customers and how you’ve helped them through a problem.

If you’re a professional….anything….there are people out there who would like to read about your experiences. What you think may be boring might be fascinating for someone else.

Just make sure you have whatever you write proofread.
